Polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF)

Polyvinylidenefluoride belongs to the fluorine polymers, that are known for their outstanding price-performance ratio. Its mechanical properties allow manufacturing of self-supporting parts, which makes it stand out against other fluorine polymers.

Special characteristics of PVDF are:

  • exceptionally good combination of chemical and mechanical properties
  • high strength and stiffness
  • good abrasive properties
  • lower tendency to creep than most other fluorine polymers
  • resistant against chlorine and bromine
  • “self-extinguishing”
